Snowy Bellflower Shawl is a half-circle adaptation of Glockenblume Tablecloth by Herbert Niebling.

The shawl is worked from the center back of the neck down to the border and is composed of four sections (repeats).

SKILL LEVEL: Beginner to Intermediate

Pattern includes charts and all necessary instructions. The charts show only the right-side rows; they are read from RIGHT to LEFT. On the wrong-side rows, all stitches (as well as yarn overs) are purled between the edge stitches, unless otherwise indicated.

TOTAL ROWS: 140

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: 200 cm (78.7”) along the wingspan and 100 cm (39.3”) depth; measured after blocking.

Finished size depends on yarn choice, needle size and your individual manner of knitting. The gauge is not crucially important here but will affect the finished shawl size and yardage requirements.

MATERIALS USED:

· Alize Kid Royal Yarn (62% mohair, 38% polyamide; 250 m / 273 yds per 25 grams skein); the sample required about 1000 m / 1094 yds or 100 g of yarn

· Size 2 mm (US 0) circular needles;

· Size 2.00 mm crochet hook for binding off;

· Stitch markers, to outline repeats;

· Tapestry needle.
