Snowy Cottage Set
This set uses the same stitch pattern as my Snowy Cottage Socks - I wanted to see them as a cozy ear warmer and fingerless mittens set and I love how they look! I used a DK weight Share A Pair from Mandi’s Makings – it was fun to try something other than socks with a set of 50 gram skeins! The patterning uses only knit, purl and slipped stitches, and is easy to memorize.
A note on colours: you can use two colours as I did in the sample, or you can use one main colour and use DK minis or scraps or a DK weight self striping for the CC “dots” and the ribbing.
For the ear warmer: S fits a 19 inch (48 cm) head circumference, M fits a 21 inch (53 cm), and L fits a 23 inch (58 cm) and all sizes are 3 inches (7.5 cm) deep after blocking.
For the fingerless mittens: S/M fits a 7 inch (18 cm) palm circumference and M/L fits an 8.5 inch (22 cm) palm circumference.
