This pattern uses the following skills:

• Chain Stitch (ch)
• Single Crochet (sc)
• Double Crochet (dc)
• Cluster Stitch (cl)
• Picot Edging

Yarn: For this pattern, I used 5 Caron Sprinkle Cakes Cakes (Vanilla Bean), available from Michaels. (Super Bulky 6 weight) This yarn appears to be discontinued, and the new Caron Chunky Cakes will work.

The great thing about using these bulkier Caron cakes, is that they make up beautiful and cozy throw blankets quite quickly. This pattern which I am calling the “Snowy Day Throw” has a bit of a texture design at the top and bottom of the blanket, while the remainder is worked up in a quick working mesh style crochet and finished with a picot edging.

This gives the blanket a nice style while still keeping it lighter and flexible enough to be a comfy, everyday sofa throw.
