This pattern is the 8th design in my Snow Creations Collection.

The pattern was designed to give the knitter many choices in colors, sizes, and embellishments. Knit an au naturel poncho OR personalize the poncho with your favorite applique or double stitch design. Both the front and back of the ponchos serve as your personal canvas with endless possibilities. Release your creativity and produce your own fashion statement.

So much more than just a pattern….your purchase includes suggestions for embellishments, needle choices, stitch counts for every round so that you can quickly adapt your designs to fit the space, a snowflake design, and a list of online references.

The snowflake is a duplicate stitch and not knitted as part of the pattern. The snowflake chart is included.

There are two poncho patterns. One has a front panel and the other a stockinette panel. Since both are knit using super bulky yarn, large needles are used so that the garment does not become too heavy and so that the fabric will have a loose drape. Both ponchos are knit from the top down. The collar is knit with the smaller needles. The body is knit with the larger needles.

The pattern calls for the use of two different size needles but if you want a looser or denser drape of the poncho, the stitch counts for this pattern will work on the needles listed. The instructions include information for increasing and decreasing the overall size of the poncho.
