This is a snug and soft sweater made for miniature dachshunds! It only uses knitting, purling, increases, and decreases, so it’s perfect for beginners. It’s worked top-down with a turtleneck-type neck and open armholes. This pattern is also easier if you have a dog nearby that you can try it on!

Here are the measurements of my dog that the pattern is based on:

• Neck: 10.5 in.
• Ribcage: 16 in.
• Space between front legs: 2 in.
• Top front leg circumference: 4 in.
• Waist circumference: 15.5 in.

If you make this for a similar small dog, make sure to measure your own dog’s sizing. This pattern is made specifically for miniature dachshunds, who have broad chests and long torsos.
