This scarf/cowl is a very simple pattern - easy for beginners - which will create a double-thick scarf that can be alternatively worn as a cowl.

Using any fingering weight yarn, you can adjust this pattern in a number of ways. It is written as an adult-sized scarf, but the number of stitches and/or rows, can be minimized to customize a child’s size.

This Snug Hug Scarf can be worn around the neck as in typical scarf fashions, or stretched over your head to create a Snug Hug Cowl around your neck.

Happy knitting!
