Yarn: DK weight, in 3 high contrasting colors. Quantity: 100g/225yd/206m each color.
A good way to know if colors are high contrast is to take a black & white picture of them.

Ribbing: US4/3.50mm - 16”/40cm for Hat & 24”/61cm for Cowl.
Main: US5/3.75mm - 16”/40cm for Hat & 24”/61cm for Cowl.
Closing: US5/3.75mm - 8”/20cm DPNS

Gauge
Gauge on main needles: 20 sts & 24 rows = 4”/10cm, after blocking. Swatching is highly recommended for this project.
