Description

The Snuggle Bunting is a Snuggle for orphan babies. It wraps them in a cozy little shelter to keep them warm and isolated from the noise and disruptions around them. The unique design allows the animal to maintain easy access to the bunting without feeling confined. These work up quickly and any beginner knitter should find them easy enough to make.

Pattern Notes

Two strands of worsted yarn are held together throughout the bunting to create the stiffness needed to keep it upright. Knit those stitches tightly!

from The Snuggles Project website

"The Snuggles Project was founded by our president Rae French, in 1996. ...the security blankets are called 'Snuggles'.

"...most shelter animals are kept in areas with stainless steel braces and hard plastic flooring or even bare concrete floors. The Snuggles would allow them to have a little reprieve from the coldness of the pen they are kept in.

"....while you are knitting, crocheting or sewing your Snuggles, please respect the originality and the future of the project and give credit where credit is due."
