The cow is constructed using medium weight yarn and US 5 (3.75mm) DPNs, which makes it approx. 14” tall when complete. However, any size yarn and needle size could be substituted to vary it’s size.

It is knit mostly in the round, with roses, leaves and tail knit flat. The pattern is 8 pages long and includes photos.

Recommended skill level is Advanced Beginner to Intermediate due to working in the round with DPNs.

Materials Required:
US 5 (3.75mm) dpns
2.5 mm Crochet Hook for Magic Ring cast on
Medium Weight (4) yarn in 5 different colors: Main Color, Hoof Color, 3 accent colors
Scrap amounts of Black and White Sport weight yarn were used for the face
Ribbon for the neck is optional, I just used 4 strands of Accent Colored yarn
Polyfiber filling
Tapestry Needle
Stitch Marker
Scissors
