When the days turn cold, only the coziest, snuggliest socks will do! And with that in mind, I created this pattern for a pair quick, simple-to-knit socks that are ideal for those weekends at home, or out and about too. The socks are worked from the cuff down in an rib all-over rib pattern--which offers a very comfortable fit. Two colors of yarn make for fun knitting of these sock. A lighter main color yarn is contrasted with a darker, rich color for the cuff, heels and toes. Feel free to just one, single color, or play around with multiple colors. A solid or tonal/semi-solid color yarn looks very attractive for this design, but also well suited for the special gently speckled yarns. The pattern is written using the Magic Loop method for sock knitting, but is easily adaptable for using DPNS. Use your favorite 4 ply/fingering weight yarn. This pattern is good for those new to sock knitting, but wanting expand their horizons. And this pattern is equally enjoyable for the experienced knitter as well. These socks are also great for gift-giving knitting! And pets seem to approve of these socks too… my cat Luna loves them!
