In January 2013, I embarked on a year long charity project where I knit one hat every month to be given away in the Christmas season to homeless people in my part of the world. This year, I am continuing the project. While experimenting with various hat patterns and yarn weights, I came up with a few patterns of my own. I haven’t written all of them down yet, but today all that changes.

This is my first hat pattern. It is knit with warm and snuggly, super bulky weight yarn and knits up quickly, thanks to the large sized needles. This makes it a great charity knit or a quick gift for a loved one.
