Snurre is a Danish word for “a spin”. The Snurre shawl is a crescent triangular slightly asymmetric shawl that have longer ends that will drape gracefully around the shoulders and keeps in place without a pin.

Work this shawl in one piece from side to side in lace pattern.

The pattern includes directions for knitting a small as well as a large shawl. Small shawl/scarf (width: 170 centimeters, Height: 50 centimeters). Large shawl (width: 280 centimeters, Height: 80-85 centimeters).

The pattern is written for a knitter who is able to follow lace charts, follow written instructions as well as work increases and decreases.

This pattern calls for a yarn with a yardage of approximately 300 meters per 100 grams. The large shawl pictured is worked in hand dyed Merino 300 from Chester Wool Company.

Materials: yarn, circular knitting needle and stitch markers.
