So Loved the World
The yarn I used is worsted weight, but you can use any weight yarn you like. I suggest making a sample of the full repeat to be sure you’re happy with your yarn and hook selection.
EXPERIENCE: Confident beginner
US TERMINOLOGY
OVERLAY MOSAIC Row-by Row
GUAGE: Worsted yarn and 4.5mm hook 16 stitches by 16 rows in 4 inches.
REPEAT: 22+3
REPEAT SIZE: 5.5”w x 9.5”h
REPEAT YARDAGE: Color A (background) 34yds, Color B (detail) 27yds (yardage is approximated, multiply each color by the number of repeats for the size project you want to make, add extra for border)
BLANKET FILE SIZE: 4 pages with written instructions, and chart marked with Xs.
Pattern does not include instructions for a border; however I do include a video resource link for envelope borders.
How to crochet in the overlay mosaic technique is not included. There are YouTube videos that could explain it much better than I ever could.
SOFTENING STIFF YARN For stiff acrylic yarn, soak in vinegar water (¼ cup vinegar per gallon of water) for 20 minutes, drain and wash as normal using a liquid fabric softener. Dry on medium heat.
