So Simple Shawlette
This is a simple on the bias shawlette. It was made using 1 skein of Dancing Leaf Farm Sock Hop (373 yards), and 5 Mini Skeins of Sock Hop (100 yards each). Less than half of each mini skein was used, and I used leftovers to make my other new pattern “Not So Hard Scarf”.
It is reversible, in that there is no right or wrong side. Each time there is a color change a seed stitch row is done so that each side looks good and very similar.
Two of the sides have eye-cord edges because I think that makes it sturdy, and it’s easy to hide the color changes in the I-Cord.
Once you start, in no time at all you won’t even need the pattern it is so easy, just keep knitting until you run out of yarn!
This is a 3 - 4 glass of wine while watching a movie pattern, which means its real easy to keep track of where you are and not make a mistake.
Note - this pattern will be free through May. Some printed copies will be available at the Dancing Leaf Farm booth at Maryland Sheep and Wool the first weekend in May. There will be plenty of Sock Hop and Mini Sock Hop skeins available.
