Ease varies from -2” – 0”/-5cm – 0cm at the waist and 7” – 9” /17.5cm-23cm at the hip depending on the size. Choose the size closest to your actual waist measurement. If you are between sizes, size down.
Suggested Yarn:
For the sample, I used Ritual Dyes Undine in the Peony colorway. A plant fiber in a Fingering or Sport weight will provide the most drape for this design, and I’ve included a couple of other yarn suggestions at lower price points below. That said, please use any yarn that is accessible to you. A fingering weight wool will work perfectly fine. I’ve also created this spreadsheet of Budget Yarn Options to assist with financial accessibility.

Suggested Needles:
US 4 – 3.5 mm 24-40” circular needles

If you’re not using magic loop, you will also need a 16-24” circular needle for the legs.
Materials:
fingering weight yarn, circular needles, stitch markers, scrap yarn or stitch holders, additional circular needle for fold over waistband, (optional) crochet hook if using crocheted provisional cast on, darning needle
Techniques:
knitting in the round, provisional cast on, i-cord, increasing, decreasing, holding stitches, reading knit and purl stitches
