I had a lot of comments about my SOB Mittens I made myself so I decided to write up the pattern for them. This pattern is for Adult One Size. Because I used a specific yarn for these mittens there is no need to weave in ends. You can knit these mittens with any Bulky weight yarn feel free to get creative!

SKILLS Required: Knitting in the round on Double Pointed Needles, Knitting, Purling, M1R, M1L, KFB, K2tog.

These mittens are knitted on double pointed needles and knit in the round from the cuff up. After the cuff you will construct a gusset for the thumb then hold these gusset stitches on waste yarn. Knit up the body and do a little decrease and shaping for mitten top. The gusset is universal meaning you can wear mittens on either hand, you will make the same identical mitten twice. I used a self striping yarn called “Ugly Sweater Party” by The Wool Baron. This pattern requires one skein of this bulky weight yarn to achieve the fun colourful stripes.
