Social Bobble
Bobbles can really lift a simple shawl make it interesting and exciting, and it’s fun to knit. Choose between a shawl in garter stitch or stockinette, with stripes with bobbles and a bobble bind off. The Social Bobble shawl only takes one skein of 4-ply/fingering yarn for the main colour, and approx. 85m for the bobbles.

Main colour: 380-400m of 4ply wool yarn, approx. 420m/100g. Samples made in SkeinQueen Crush merino/nylon in colours Snow field (bobble version) and Salvage (tassel version)
Contrast colour: AlpacaSilk, 140m/25gm, approx. 15g used (85m)
Needles: 3.75mm/US5
Gauge: blocked garter 20-21 sts/10 cm, unblocked stockinette 28 sts/10cm
Notions: 2 stitch markers, one of them locking. Pompom maker Ø 5cm/2”.
Measurements blocked: garter version: 170cm wingspan, 52cm deep
