Social Distance Hug
As the 2020 Pandemic continues, I find that the thing I miss the most is The HUGS, hence the Social Distance Hug was born!
This is a relatively quick knit and you will love making them for your friends, family, co-workers and that special essential worker in your life (I have made them for all of the nurses that I work with on our Hospice team and they were a hit!)
The pattern is rated as Advanced Beginner and it includes written step by step instructions for construction. The pattern also includes several photos to ensure your success.
I use Quince and Co’s Finch Yarn but any sock yarn will do. This is a great pattern to not only show some love to the recipient, but to bust your stash as well.
I recommend using the Pin Hole Cast on but you can use the Long Tail cast on if you are not familiar with this technique. Other techniques include making in I-cord for the arms and Increasing and Decreasing Stitches.
Finally, I went back and forth as to whether or not to charge for this pattern, and have decided to offer it for free. The more happiness we knitters can share with others and the more smiles we can put out in the world, the better. Can’t wait to see photos of the hugs you make and share.
Stay Safe, Have Fun, and Happy Knitting!
