This pattern was designed to use the left over yarn at the end of a beanie or a pair of socks. It is a small neck hugging cowl that is designed to be easy to wear and not bulky. It can be made with as little as 30g of yarn and a later version of the pattern will show it using two contrasting yarns in smaller quantities. A quick make with lots of repetition that follows the first pattern row. It does need a little concentration to set up the alternating pairs of stitches in the first pattern row and to switch to Diagonal Weave stitch. The rib uses Centre Post Single Crochet or Waistcoat stitch. The size can easily adjusted by adding or removing multiples of four stitches. The height is easily adjusted too. The pattern does contract slightly which gives it some negative ease.
