After a summer 2023 visit with my granddaughters, which was after they had attended an epic Taylor Swift Eras Tour Concert, the 12-year old said, “You should knit Taylor Swift socks, Gramma!” My IRL friends know that I do not take a challenge like this lightly, and I started planning very soon after arriving home.

As I knit these socks for my granddaughter, I agonized over whether to put the “pattern” out there. I decided to go ahead, and I have published as a free pattern.

This pattern is free, and I may or may not be able to answer questions to support you. If you have a local knitting group, I’ll bet you know someone who can help. :)

This pattern includes stranded knitting. There are 2 needle sizes suggested, but use what works for you, and please remember that stranded knitting is not as elastic as single-strand knitting. Go up a needle size (or more) for the colorwork, or the sock may not go over your heel. That would make me sad.

This pattern has not been tech edited, but I think the mistakes are few…I’ve knit and ripped a LOT during the writing and knitting process!

This pattern has not been test knit, but again, I think I have worked through many of the issues.

I am sure that this pattern is not perfect, and it is not multi-sized. However, an adventurous knitter with a basic knowledge of math should be able to adjust to create different sizes.
