Please note: The yarn used for this hat is listed as Aran only because that’s what has been listed as by the manufacturer. I think is is much more of a light worsted weight yarn, definitely thinner than your typical “red heart super saver worsted” that most people (at least in the United States) would be familiar with.

Improvements to the original pattern include two adult/teen sizes and five video links to help you through parts that other knitters have prompted other knitters to contact me with questions. Other changes from the original include a minor edit on the muzzle so it isn’t quite as prominent and use of a yarn with more stretch and a different gauge.

Sizes: Newborn (Baby/Toddler, Toddler/Preschooler, Child, Small Adult/Teen, Large Adult/Teen)
To fit: 14”-24” head circumference (measure around the head right above the eyebrows)

Fisherman 25 - 52 yds
16” US Size 5 metal circular needle I only specify metal needles because this is what I used to get gauge. Bamboo needles give me a much looser knit.

Fiberfill stuffing (for muzzle)
Black Buttons or Felt (for eyes)
Black Thread & a Sewing needle
Yarn Needle
Very small amount of black yarn (could substitute gray) for nostrils
