Sock Monkey Ski Helmet Cover
Discontinued.
This digital pattern is no longer available online.
These are loose/pseudo instructions for making a helmet cover as helmet sizes vary. Any medium worsted weight yarn will work. Eyes, mouth, ears and pom pom are sewn on after the cover is made. This cover is designed to hug the helmet and be removable for washing. Remnants of white, red and black yarn are needed. Not half a skein of the brown/white main color is needed. In general, decreases are used on the rows that will curve under the helmet to hold it in place. Straps can be crocheted to specifically wrap around parts of the helmet to attach it more securely to the helmet. With the use of buttons, it can still allow the cover to be removed from the helmet.
