This easy-to-knit stocking with a vintage look is utterly disarming and simply wonderful. Linda Ligon’s most recent Christmas stocking creation was inspired by the classic toy monkey made from socks.

Yarn: Worsted weight yarn, approximately 194 yards (178m) ragg grey (MC); 50 yd (46m) red (CC #1); 20 yd (19m) winter white (CC #2)

Needles: Size 6 (4mm). 16” (40.5cm) circular needle and set of 5 double-pointed needles.

Notions: Markers, tapestry needle and about 1yd (39cm) of smooth waste cotton yarn to mark heel placement.
