Sock Sleeve Sweater
Have lots of fun indulging that secret desire to wear mismatched socks, but show them off on your arms! Or if that isn’t your thing, make your sleeves matching and show off your favourite skein of sock yarn you’ve been hanging onto. Whatever your fancy, have fun with this knit!
Sock Sleeve Sweater is a quick knit with the body knit in worsted weight and the sleeves knit in sock yarn. The super comfy boxy shape will make this your favourite sweater this fall.
The details in the above listing are a bit confusing since I wasn’t able to put 2 different gauges or to separate the yardage for the two yarn weights so here are all the details:
Sizes are based on the finished garment size at the bust. This sweater is designed to be worn with positive ease. The picture with the blue striped sleeves is size 50” worn on someone with an actual bust size of 40”, giving it 10” of positive ease. This is the suggested amount of ease but if you prefer more or less I have made it easy to make it your own!
The sleeves are knit from the cuff up, so if you would like to make the sleeves longer, you can do that easily since you can try them on before you attach them to the body of the sweater.
I use german short rows but you can certainly use your preferred short row method.
