Sock yarn fingerless mittens
Trying to keep heating costs low is good against climate change and saves money too. Sitting still behind a keyboard or laptop for too long can make you feel cold though. These mittens keep your wrists, hands and fingers warm and flexible while you’re working.
I designed these fingerless mittens with remnants of sock yarn, because using up scraps saves waste. And it is fun too. The wool mix and the slight ribbing in the pattern make them fit well on many hand sizes.
The length of the mitts is 8.2 inch / 21.5 cm. They are 5.5 inches / 14 cm wide and photographed on hands which measure 7.9 inch / 20 cm around.
What you need is four double pointed knitting needles number 2.75 (US 2) and about 120 yd / 110 m of a wool mix sock yarn.
The pattern is available in English and in Dutch.
