Sock Your Fade
This pattern came as part of my “Leftovers’ Challenge”, a challenge I decided to take so that I make use of small balls of yarn I used in past projects and that can be used together to create a sort of “fade” effect. Small amounts of yarn can make great socks and I bet you can find lots of wonderful sock weight yarn leftovers in your stash to play with.
The socks are worked from the toe up and stitches are placed on a Stitch Holder, so that you can work an Afterthought Heel later. There is a little “eyelet pattern” detail that travels along the instep and adds some fun to their beauty. As usual, I used double pointed needles for my socks, I find they give me a better tension, but you can opt for your favorite sock knitting tools, 2 circulars or the Magic Loop Method will work just as fine.
So, go stash diving and sock your fade!!!
