Inspired by Sock Summit 2011, and by Portland, OR! If putting a bird on it is the thing to do here in Portland, well, for Sock Summit, let’s put a sock on it!

The tight gauge really allows the sock to pop out of the texture. This is a top down sock with heel flap construction. The tight gauge also affords a great fit. My test knitter (thank you, Kristy!) has reported that it is her best fitting sock yet! :o)

The pattern does include a chart for the sock pattern, but is a very simple knit. I would say it would be easy enough for a first time sock knitter. :o)
