So, you like the Knives Out sweater, but you don’t want to spend a thousand dollars on a million miles of yarn and spend months knitting a massive sweater? Try these socks instead.

These are toe-up cabled socks that use Handsome Chris’s cable motifs. They’re 80 stitches around, which might seem like a lot until you start cabling. In order to fit all the cables from the sweater into the pattern, they’re only in one size, but can be modified in length to fit average foot sizes. I might make different widths on demand later.

Skill level: Intermediate to advanced - must know toe-up sock construction using magic loop and cabling with or without a cable needle.

Needles: US1 circular needle in whatever length you use for magic loop (sometimes I use 24”, sometimes I use 32”, you could probably do these 2 at a time - whatever makes you happy)

Yarn: Manos Del Uruguay Alegría (445 yards, 75% superwash merino, 25% polyamide) in Natural

Gauge: 7 to 8 sts and 12 rows = 1” in stockinette stitch

Notions: Stitch markers, if you need to separate the front from the back or if you want to put stitch markers between the various cables. I, personally, don’t really use stitch markers for socks.
