Most sock patterns require DPNs or 40” circular needles. I was never able to find a pattern for how to make them with straight needles and so decided to create the pattern.

This pattern is highly customizable. Instructions are given for both general sizes as well as personal measurements. DK weight yarn and size 5 knitting needles are recommended for children’s socks for better durability.

The finished sock will look big, however it will fit just right with a bit of room for growth.

A basic knowledge of these stitches should be known:
