I made this pattern for a friend, who wanted a sock with a strengthened sole. So, this patterns starts of at the sole with a live cast on, knitted in the round, making it possible to use a thicker, more durable yarn. After the increases for the sole is finished, the upper part of the sock is knitted, using normal sock yarn or even a yarn, that would usually be too soft for sock-knitting.

The size can easiliy be adjusted by increasing the number of cast-on stitches and the width of the instep.
40 stitches and 18 stitches on the instep produced a size 42 for me.

The bottom up pattern allows you to easily use up your wool by adjusting the length of the cuffs.

This is the first pattern, I uploaded. If you have Questions or annotations, feel free to ask.
