The Socorro Hat is a vertical two-color hat, jazzed up with a zig zag pattern. It uses an easy color-joining technique to give a seamless join between the two colors, rather than carrying yarn all the way around the hat. The pattern includes detailed written instructions and pictures to assist you in mastering this easy-to-learn technique.

The Socorro Hat pattern includes 10 sizes, from newborn with a 15” head circumference, to Adult-Large with a 24” head circumference.

The Socorro Hat looks great without a pom, but if you want to add one, the pattern includes instructions for the Clover Pom Pom Maker 2 1/2” and 3 3/8” sizes, and for 2 styles - - the half-and-half pom, and the mixed pom. Yardage listed is for the hat only. An additional 20 yards is needed for the 2 1/2” pom, and 44 yards for the 3 3/8” pom.

The Socorro Hat sample shown is the Adult-Large, and uses Heartland Grand Canyon and Black Canyon Tweed.

Clover Pom Maker, 2.5 inch size = 20 yards (100 wraps per side)
Clover Pom Maker, 3.375 inch size = 44 yards (200 wraps per side)

Needles:
5.0 mm 16-inch circular needles, plus DPNs for the crown
