Description
Main feature of Sofia sweater is all-over eyelet lace in arrow pattern.
Both back and front are worked with a deep V-neck, but you can make various sorts of ties to close the back up a bit.
The sweater is knit bottom-up in pieces (front, back and the 2 sleeves) and then seamed together.
Default pattern is written for cropped length, but instructions are provided on how to easily extend it to the desired length.

Important: the majority of the pattern is charted! It is a very easy chart, but you need to be able to read it in order to knit the sweater.

Sizes
Pattern includes 3 sizes: S (M, L) intended for own bust circ of 84-89 (89-95, 95-107) cm / 33-35 (35-37.5, 37.5-42)“
The model is intended to be worn with 2-6” of positive ease

Yarn
This model can be knit in a wide variety of yarns to achieve different looks and feels - as long as you get gauge.

The exact amount will depend on the sweater size and length you choose to knit and the yarn you use. Cropped size S starts with ~500 m/ 545 yds, and full length size L can go up to 1200 m / 1310 yds.

Yarn options range from almost weightless mohair to rather dense cotton. The testers have succesfully used the following yarns:

• Alize Naturale (60% wool, 40% cotton; 230 m / 252 yds per 100g / 3.5 oz); size S cropped used 210 g / 7.4 oz.
• Pecci Filati art ‘Audrey’ (35% baby alpaca, 35% kidmohair, 30% polyamide - 5 strands held together for joint yardage of 300m/330 yds per 100g / 3.5 oz); size M cropped used 180 g / 6.3 oz And many others.

Needles
Given the sweater is knit flat, you can use long straights or ~60-80 cm / 24-32” circulars

• Main (lace sections of both body and sleeves) - 5 mm / US 8, or size to get gauge.
• Smaller (hem and cuff ribbing) - 3.5 mm / US 4 (or ~1.5mm/3-4 US sizes smaller than the main ones)

Notions
Tapestry needle, scissors, ribbon / crochet hook to make a tie for back-fastening (optional)

Gauge
13 sts by 14 rows per 10 cm / 4” (in lace pattern)
