Sofie's Baby Cardigan
Sofie’s Cardigan is knitted bottom-up in several pieces that are later sewn together. The construction features set-in sleeves that, in combination with the seams, results in a more tailored look and fit.
The body is worked with a positive ease of 1-1 ½ in/2.5-4 cm to achieve a classic fit. It features a flower pattern with bobbles and pointelle stitches, adding some extra sweetness to the baby cardigan.
The design was inspired by my newborn daughter Sofie who is already so dear to me, and deserves a unique, one-of-a-kind cardigan to keep her warm and snuggly. The sweater is knitted with Dapple, a yarn by Brooklyn Tweed that combines the warmth of merino wool with the softness and drape of cotton.
