Soft and Long Arm Warmers
These arm warmers somewhat like the ones Mrs. Fitz wore in the first season of the Outlander series.
They are knit flat and seamed, making this a great project for an Advanced Beginner knitter.
Techniques used are: cast on, knit, purl, make one, knit 2 together, slip slip knit and bind off.
Garter stitch trims the finger edge and cuff and stockinette stitch is used for the main body.
There are decreases for the wrist and increases for the arm.
Are you still cold? They are thin enough to put mittens or gloves over them.
The finished arm warmers will stretch to about a 9 inch circumference and are about 14.5 inches long.
