Soft Embrace
This shawl begins with the Casey Picot Point design from Knitting on the Edge p 85. I made one small modification to the original pattern changing the decrease to a decorative double decrease.
After completing the edge points the shawl is completed in Stockinette Stitch using short rows and decorative double decreases in 3 locations.
An I-cord bind off completes the design with a nice clean edge along the top.
I used almost 2 skeins of Zen to complete the Ametrine version and approximately 3 1/2 skeins of the Soft linen to make the Turquoise version. The turquoise version blocked a little bigger than the Ametrine version.
Other techniques used include provisional cast on and twisted stitches in the Picot Point design.
This would not be a good project for TV knitting but sometimes the results are worth a little more effort. I feel like this is one of those times and hope that you will, too!
