NOTES:
- This pattern is written in US terms
- This pattern is designed with the beginner in mind however because of working with 2 strands and the fur you need to be a confident beginner as working with the fur takes patience
- This pattern includes a full photo tutorial to help you along
- Gauge: a. face cuff: 15 rows sc/hdc = 4”; 13 sts= 4” b. hood: 4 dc rows= 4”; 9 dc sts = 4”
- Sizes: sm child= fits up to 20” head comfortably; lg child = fits 21-22” head comfortably, adult = fits 23- 24” head comfortably
- Numbers in parentheses at end of rounds are total number of sts for round
- Colored numbers at the beginning of rounds are number of stitches according to size
- This pattern has been tested using Bernat, RHSS and I Love This Yarn for the single strand yarns; Premiere Lash Max, Lash Lux, and Lions Brand Eye Lash (bulky 5) yarns in the hood portions.
- The furry hood portion is worked up using a single strand of yarn along with a single strand of lash max/ lash lux (or other comparable bulky 6 weight fun fur/ eyelash yarn)
- Lash Max and Lash Lux yarns are different than normal eyelash or fun fur yarns. These yarns are bulky whereas the eyelash and fun fur are not as thick. IF you use eyelash or fun fur yarns your items will be slightly smaller than shown (not much but there is a difference). You will need to add 1 extra row for child size and 2 extra rows for the teen and adult sizes if you only use a bulky 5 eye lash yarn.
- The finished product is very thick and warm.
- Starting chains do not count in stitch count
- Recommended care for finished product: wash on gentle cycle in cold or lukewarm water, lay flat to dry. DO NOT use a dryer as the tossing around in the dryer causes the fur to knot up in places (learned the hard way )
- Have fun with it! Change up the colors!
