Not necessary. However you have to take into consideration that using thinner or thicker yarn and needle, your shawl will be smaller or larger. Furthermore the choice of the yarn may influence the required yarn quantity.

Yarn requirements:
XS: ca 230m / 250 yards
4 sections: 450-500 m / 490-550 yards
5 sections: 600-700 m / 660-770 yards
6 sections: 660-900 m / 720-980 yards
Please note: if you increase the number of pattern repeats, you will need much more yarn than stated.

A finom csipkeminta ismétlésszámának megválasztásával pedig a méretét alakíthatjuk. Egy egyszerű minta alakul át egyre bonyolultabbá, ami végül a szélcsipkében teljesedik ki.
