Soft Surroundings Mittens
Soft Surroundings Mittens are knitted from the cuff up, making thumb gusset increases at one side of the mitten. The thumb is worked last, after the body of the mitten is finished. The zigzag pattern using an Estonian Inlay Knitting Technique (‘roosimine’) is worked on the back of the hand on the go while knitting the body of the mitten.
