Description
The Vanilla Twist Hat is a modern silhouette of a classic 2x2 ribbed hat. Decreases at the crown melt seamlessly into the center panel, while cables add interest from both a visual perspective and as a way for novice knitters to stretch into new skills or keep the more advanced knitter engaged.

To fit head measurement = 18.5, 22.25, 25.5 in (46.5, 55.5, 64 cm), +/-1.5 in (4 cm)

Finished Measurements, after blocking
Circumference = 14, 16.5, 19.25 in (35, 41.5, 48 cm)
Length (folded) = 8, 9.75, 11.25] in (20, 24.5, 28 cm)
Length (unfolded) = 10.5, 12.5, 14 in (26, 31.5, 35 cm)

145, 200, 265 yds (135, 185, 245 m) Aran weight

Note that this pattern uses almost all of one skein for Sizes 1 and 2. You may need to reuse the yarn from your swatch, and consider buying a second skein for Size 3.

Needles:
US 6 (4 mm) 16 in (40 cm) circular needles
US 6 (4 mm) double pointed needles
Note: choose whichever needle size achieves gauge.
Notions: stitch markers (at least 5), cable needle, scissors, darning needle

Gauge
25 sts & 27 rows = 4 in (10 cm) in 2x2 rib, unstretched after blocking
