Sol
This pattern is
available for free.
Did you know that ‘sol’ means ‘sun‘ in Swedish? Sol is also the name of the goddess of the sun in the Norse mythology. She drives her chariot across the sky, pursued by the wolf Skoll. Sometimes he comes so close that he is able to take a bite out of the sun, causing an eclipse. Sol is also called Sunna, and the day Sunday (‘söndag‘ in Swedish) is namned after her.
I made my Sol squares in an aran weight yarn since I plan to make them into a blanket. The size of one square is approx 18 x 18 centimeters. Please note that size and amount of yarn needed may be different if you use another yarn.
