DESCRIPTION
SOL is a tank for the summer solstice, designed to celebrate the healing power of creativity and the warmth of the sun on your body. With simple bottom-up construction, this tank features an original asymmetric lace panel inspired by chestnut blossoms. The pattern includes 9 sizes, instructions for cropped or full-length, details for modifying the width of the straps, and both written and charted instructions for the lace panels.
☀️ This pattern was designed for the Ritual Dyes Summer Solstice 2020 offering in a booklet with lots of other goodies! The full booklet is available exclusively in hard copy from Ritual Dyes — this Ravelry listing is for the tank pattern alone. ☀️
SIZING
All of my garment patterns are #sizeinclusive up to at least a 60” full bust circumference.
To get a sense of how this sweater might fit you, check out the test-knitting round-up on my blog here.
To choose your size, measure the circumference of your torso around the fullest part of your bust and choose the size that fits with 2-8” of ease. This tank is designed to be worn with a wide range of ease — choose what works for the look you want!
Sizes by finished bust circumference:
In inches: (34.25, 38.5, 43) [47.25, 51.75, 56] {60.25, 64.75, 69}
In centimeters: (87, 98, 109) [120, 131, 142] {153.5, 164.5, 175.5}
In the pattern photos, Jacqui is wearing a cropped size 6 (56” /142cm) with 4” of positive ease.
GAUGE, NEEDLES, NOTIONS
Gauge: 22 sts and 28 rows over 4”/10cm in stockinette after blocking
Recommended needles:
- Main needles: US 3 (3.25 mm) 32”/80 cm circular needle
