This pattern is for a Chinese Lantern Octopus. This would make a really cute shower gift or whimsical garden decor. It should only take a couple of hours to make and it is a very cheap project to make and a great stash buster.

You will need the following to complete your project :

Red Heart Super Saver: Pumpkin
1 12” circumference Chinese solar Powered Lantern (I purchased mine from the dollar store) make sure to get the nylon type, not the paper one.
4 mm crochet hook
1 pair of 22 mm oval black safety eyes
Stitch markers
Tapestry needle with a sharp point

This pattern is written in English using Standard US crochet terms. You should already have knowledge of working in the round and sewing Amigurumi pieces together.
