“Solar wind” is made up of a continuous flow of charged particles that radiate from the sun and permeates the solar system. When
these particles collide with an atmosphere it creates an “aurora” where long ribbons of color wave across the sky. The lace stitch pattern of the Solar Wind sock echoes those awe inspiring lights in the sky.

The Aurora Borealis occurs in the northern hemisphere on Earth.

Brenda and Heather’s “Aurora Borealis” colorway is comprised of green and purple bands of charged particles alternating with the star strewn night sky, causing a gradient and striping yarn! The yarn was the first installment of the Brenda and Heather Sock Yarn Club in 2018.
