What Knitrino Offers:
“Knitrino is redefining what it means to use a pattern on your phone. Offering curated collections from designers you love, Knitrino’s interactive patterns give you all the information you need right when you need it: match charts to your colors with a single click, highlight your active row, save your progress, and click on a stitch to see how to do it. Aspiring or seasoned, our app empowers knitters to hone and develop their skills.” Knitrino has just launched with a capsule collection of four patterns with designs from Safiyyah Talley & Faye Kennington.
What Knitrino doesn’t offer:
We are unable to offer PDF imports of your own patterns. Why: Importing patterns would limit the interactive nature of Knitrino patterns, like the clickable stitches & seeing only your size, because PDFs have no standards and contain unstructured data. To offer this feature would take us time and money we simply don’t have. Since we also had the goal to make sure that designers are well compensated for their work and also ensuring that patterns meet our quality standards: we had to let go of this wish for the time being. If you’re looking for a PDF reader, we’d like to refer you to Knit Companion, who has been working in this space for a number of years!
Who we are
Knitrino is a bootstrapped, female-founded, tech startup by knitting sisters Alison Yates (CEO, eMBA, and optics-engineer) and Andrea Cull (CKO, biology teacher, M.Ed).
We have assembled an amazing team of editors & advisors to build Knitrino: our capsule pattern curator Kerry Bogert, tech-editors extraordinaire Sarah Walworth & Lisa Beth Houchins, our Diversity & Inclusivity advisor Cecelia Nelson-Hurt, & our accessibility advisor Renee Van Hoy.
(Also please note that this is the only pattern of Andrea’s available in Knitrinio’s first 24 patterns that are coming out in the next few months. Knitrino works with an editorial advisor who creates our curated collections & selects designs submissions).
About the Solaris Wrap
Shine like the sun in the modern and elegant Solaris Wrap! Featuring a geometric lace design created with only yarn overs and decreases, Solaris is a great project for both seasoned and beginning lace knitters alike. And with the generous length, you’ll love how it drapes around you!
The rectangular Solaris is worked flat on a background of Garter Stitch, giving it the perfect balance of ease and interesting detail.
