Solid Stitch Lines
Sock recipe for not so plain and rather elegant toe-up socks. It’s a close family member of my pattern Slip Stitch Lines, worked in two colors.
Pick two colours: a variegated main colour (which will fade into the background), and a solid, maybe semisolid, contrast colour which will produce the foreground.
Ideally, the solid colour is one of the colours on the spectrum of the variegated colour.
You will need equal amounts of the two colours, depending on the length of your socks, with a bit more of the variegated MC needed.
I was able to get a pair of socks out of 50g each of the two colours.
This is not a whole sock pattern, but rather a recipe to be supplemented with your favourite toe and heel. I prefer using short-row toe and heel constructions. A fabulous one can be bought on Ravelry for US $ 1.00 from the Sox Therapist:

This is a recipe for making socks which requires some knowledge on sock construction and your preferred sizing.
Some hints on sizing are given, based on my gauge and sock size.
The recipe does give some hints and additional information that can be ignored if you use a different toe and / or heel construction or do not need a mini-gusset with the FLK heel.
