This pattern was created in response to the synagogue shooting (October 2018, USA). The charts may be used for any purpose aside from spreading hate.

The headband is worked in the round using stranded knitting. Remember to keep your floats loose! I have also included a square-ish version of the chart for use as an afghan square, dishcloth, or hat motif; feel free to use it for double-knit projects.

I don’t explain how to do stranded colorwork or the optional duplicate stitch, but there are many tutorials available online.
