The pattern is written with a folded brim. If you would like to omit the folded brim, consider knitting the ribbed brim 2.5-3” to keep the fit of the hat as intended.

The brim is worked over 96 stitches (multiple of 24). The setup round includes increases to bring the stitch count to 104 throughout the body (multiple of 26).

Hat body height before decrease not including the brim 5.5”. Decrease adds 1.5” to the height of the hat.
