Designed to celebrate the final moments of the year’s shortest day, the Solstice Sunset sock pattern uses a set of six mini skeins to replicate the delicate gradient of a northern winter sky.

Kits made specifically for this pattern are available here.

Three size options are available S (M, L) with a cuff circumference of approximately 7 (8, 9)“.

Slipped stitch textured ribbing helps blend colours together as you transition between mini skeins. The sample pair was knit with a set of six 25 g mini skeins in Take a Hike sock yarn (545 yd per 150 g set of six minis) in the Solstice Sunset colourway. Five of minis are used for the main sock (toe to cuff) and the sixth is used for the afterthought heel.
