Solvarg
Solvarg is an attempt to capture the last light of summer. It features a traditional sunwheel pattern from the Swedish island of Gotland.
The yardage breakdown is as follows:
110 m / 120 yards fingering weight yarn in main colour
40 m / 45 yards fingering weight yarn in contrast colour 1
110 m / 120 yards fingering weight yarn in contrast colour 2
The cowl is easy to resize. Instructions to change both the circumference and height are given in the pattern.
While the sample was knitted in fingering weight yarn, the pattern could also be worked in heavier yarns.

I’m experimenting this year with a pay-what-you-will model. If you have made this pattern and would like to show your appreciation, please consider buying me some virtual coffee! Thanks for your support!

Solvarg is part of my collection Among the Æsir, named for the Norse gods and their world. Solvarg literally translates as sun-wolf and actually means parhelion, but is thought to have its roots in the wolf Sköll, who pursues the sun across the sky.
