The sombrero sock was created in the summer of 2020 when we were on holiday at Ängdala, outside
Kivik, where my mother also works every season.

A quiet and peaceful place where I took Dad and went for a walk through the
forest, through the summer village and down to the sea, and that’s where the Sombrero sock came into
being. I had forgotten to bring my checkered notebooks with my drawn patterns, but I had yarn and
knitting needles with me. After inspiration from the nature around, the forest, the water and my bag
with the Sombrero, the idea appeared, why not make a sock with a pattern of what I’m currently
eating, on my holiday at the campsite?
